Lamborghini records 13% sales growth in 2021
In a recent press release, Lamborghini shared its 2021 sales report where it revealed it recorded a 13-percent increase over last year’s performance, with a total of 8,405 cars delivered worldwide.

Leading sales are the Urus, the Huracán, and the Aventador.“This record has provided confirmation of four factors for us: the solidity of our strategic plan, our brand’s outstanding international reputation, the competence and passion of our people, and the exceptional professionalism and dynamism shown by our 173 dealers in 52 markets, who have continued to invest alongside us at a challenging, uncertain time,” commented Automobili Lamborghini Chairman and CEO Stephan Winkelmann.
Lamborghini recorded double-digit growth in all three of the macro-regions where the brand is established. In the US, Lamborghini’s sales were up 14 percent as well as in Asia Pacific. Meanwhile, its sales were up 12 percent in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa). The company maintains a fairly balanced split among them in global volumes, which stand at 35%, 27%, and 39%, respectively.
In terms of individual markets, the US remained in the top spot with 2,472 units while China leaped into second place at 935 units sold. They were followed by Germany with 706 cars and the United Kingdom with 564 vehicles. There was also an increase in the figures for Lamborghini’s home market of Italy, where 359 cars were delivered.
When it comes to the number of sales per model, the Lamborghini Urus leads the scoreboards with 5,021 units sold. The super SUV is then followed by the V10-powered Huracán at 2,586 units. Coming in third is the V12 model of the Aventador with 798 models.
This year, Lamborghini also introduced three new products: the Huracán STO, the Aventador Ultimae, and the Countach LPI 800-4. In addition, last year also saw Lamborghini present its future electrification strategy with “Direzione Cor Tauri” (“Toward Cor Tauri”).
“We are stronger than ever as we prepare to embark on a period of profound transformation and move towards an even more sustainable future. In 2022 we’ll be doing our utmost to consolidate the current performance and get ready for the arrival of our future hybrid range from 2023 onwards,” added the Lamborghini boss.
