Lamborghini reports 8% increase in sales in full 9 months of 2022

Lamborghini shared that the company experienced an eight-percent increase in sales in the first three quarters of 2022 compared to the same  period in 2021.

Per the Italian automotive brand, the company sold 7,430 units from January to September which resulted in a revenue of €1.93 billion (P112.391 billion).

Per the Sant'Agata Bolognese-based brand, the increase in sales was mainly due to a rise in volumes, the growth in average revenue per car (thanks to the product mix and increased customizations); and the favorable trend in exchange rates. All three of the macro-regions — Americas, Asia Pacific, and EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) — have grown proportionately, Lamborghini reported.

“These consistently rising figures show just how strong Lamborghini is today. We have an order portfolio that already covers the first quarter of 2024, and this allows us to work with peace of mind, looking thoughtfully ahead to the challenges facing us in the future, such as the first step towards hybridization from 2023,” said Lamborghini Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Stephan Winkelmann.

According to Lamborghini, the Urus sold a total of 4,834 units between January and September while the Huracán sold 2,378 units globally in the same time period.

“The current situation continues to be marked by the instability of macroeconomic variables, while the company is showing its resilience through the growth of all the main business and financial metrics. We expect to close the financial year better than ever,” commented Lamborghini Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Paolo Poma.
