Lamborghini’s first electrified super sports car is codenamed LB744.What powers the Lamborghini LB744?
The Lamborghini LB744 is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 and three electric motors.According to the Italian luxury car brand, LB744 is equipped with a naturally-aspirated 6.5-liter V12 mid-mounted engine and three electric motors — one of which is integrated into the new double-clutch eight-speed gearbox.
This setup makes 1,001 horsepower and about 1,425Nm of almost instantaneous torque.
Lamborghini further explained that the engine of the LB744 weighs only 218 kilograms and is 17 kilograms less than the powerplant fitted on the Aventador.
Additionally, the Sant’Agata Bolognese-based brand placed a lightweight high-power lithium-ion battery (which powers the abovementioned electric motors) on the LB744’s central tunnel.
Doing so increases the HPEV’s stability and allows the battery to be housed in a protective structural layer
Lamborghini did not mention anything about the LB744’s supposed all-electric range but, the carmaker said that the HPEV can run on just electric power.
