The Lamborghini Countach has been one of the most successful nameplates from the house of the Raging Bull. And although only 1,983 units were produced from 1974 to 1990, Lamborghini’s rear mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive sports car became an icon in the automotive industry.
In a recent press release, the Italian luxury sports car manufacturer announced that the Countach is coming back along with the words, “future is our legacy. And the new Lamborghini Countach is coming.”
Lamborghini also included two videos saying that the forthcoming arrival of the Countach is the “rebirth of a dream” and that “by looking at our past, we can see our future.”
A picture of a wedge-shaped car, the Countach no doubt, is also included in the press release. It has sharp dimensions, is hidden in "Lamborghini" covers, and looks like something that came from Stranger Things. Nevertheless, this recent announcement indicates that a full reveal could be announced anytime soon.
Recently, Lamborghini introduced the Aventador Ultimae. According to the automaker, it’s the last of its kind, referring to its V12 engine which could mean that we’re set to see a Countach EV, or at least a hybrid.
Building up the hype, Lamborghini has released several short videos dubbed the “Countach Legacy” which you can watch on the brand's official YouTube account.
