The US arm of Land Rover has announced a limited-edition Defender to celebrate the nameplate’s 30th anniversary in America. Dubbed the Defender 30th-Anniversary Edition, the special model pays homage to the 1993 Defender 110 First Edition and celebrates the Defender model legacy in the region.
Outside, the Land Rover Defender 30th Anniversary Edition sports exterior elements that recreate the ones featured on the original 1993 First Edition. It is finished in Fuji White and includes a unique heritage Defender 30th Anniversary Edition badge.
Like the original 1993 First Edition, the Land Rover Defender 30th Anniversary Edition boasts rugged accessories such as an expedition roof rack, front and rear classic mud flaps, rubber mats and fixed side steps, a deployable ladder, wheel arch extensions, and an A-frame.
The Land Rover Defender 30th Anniversary Edition rides on 18-inch glossy white steel wheels.
Its cabin does give contrast to its clean exterior with a black theme and features Ebony grained leather seat facings. Other interior amenities include a sliding panoramic roof and a three-zone climate control system. It can be optioned with modern convenience packages from Land Rover like the Cold Climate Pack, Tow Pack, Black Exterior Pack, and Off-Road Pack.
Per the British automotive marque, only 500 adventure-ready Defender 30th Anniversary Editions will be produced in 2022. It is offered in select dealerships in the US with prices that are said to start from around US$75,000 to US$75,000.
