Land Rover PH stages 1st Defender Experience

Land Rover Philippines has staged the first-ever Defender Experience, a three-day experiential event to showcase the capabilities of the nameplate.

Invited guests were first briefed by IC Land Automotive Incorporated Vice President Chris Ward, who also happened to be the lead instructor in the said affair.

Soon after, participants hopped in with certified instructors to see how the Land Rover Defenders trotted gracefully on the two off-road sections prepared by the carmaker.

Features like its electronic air suspension, all-wheel drivetrain system, and 295-horsepower engine allowed the Land Rover Defender to conquer the set course. Meanwhile, amenities like its 11.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, its interactive infotainment cluster, and its host of cameras and sensors provided drivers with peace of mind despite the somewhat formidable path.

Attendees then switched places with the instructors to experience the Land Rover Defender firsthand and enjoy the aforementioned features while sitting behind the wheel.

The said event was said to have been more than just a showcase of what the Land Rover Defender can do but a testament to what the nameplate has achieved as the said occasion was also a celebration of the 700th Defender running on Philippine roads.

Likewise, the Land Rover Defender Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle was also displayed in the Defender Hospitality Suite to show what the British automotive brand has in store for future Defender owners.

“Filipinos, without a doubt, are such big fans of the Defender. This event is a great way to celebrate the ongoing success of the Defender here in the Philippines. We are truly delighted to see everyone come together and celebrate all things Defender. The new Defender has really proven that it is the most capable Land Rover ever built,” Ward commented.
