Last Dodge Demon Rolls Off Assembly Line, to be Auctioned Off with Last Dodge Viper
The last Dodge Challenger SRT Demon has rolled off the Fiat Chrysler Automobile's Brampton Assembly Plant in Ontario, Canada but it isn't going for sale outright.
Instead, it'll be auctioned off with the last of the hand-built fifth-generation Dodge Viper at the upcoming Barrett-Jackson Northeast Auction which will be held from June 20 to 23, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the United Way.
The production of the Challenger SRT Demon was limited to one model year and 3,300 units, with the last-ever unit now in its final stages of assembly, which includes adding a hand-painted exclusive Viper Red exterior color, 18-inch aluminum wheels, 18-inch Demon drag radial tires, Demon vehicle badging, and a one-of-a-kind VIN instrument panel badging.
When it goes up for auction, the 840-hp, 6.2-liter Challenger SRT Demon--"the industry's first and only purpose-built, street-legal production drag car with the most powerful production V8 engine and 20-plus industry-first, drag-performance features"--will be sold together with the last of the hand-built, 645-hp fifth-generation Dodge Viper with an 8.4-liter V10 engine, aerospace-grade lightweight carbon fiber body, iconic side exhaust, and massive 14-inch wide rear tires. Combined, that's a total of 1,485 hp.
