“We plan to produce an initial 500 units per month of e-jeepneys, along with about 2,000 e-bikes and 1,000 e-tricycles. We will ramp up production in the coming months,” Singson was quoted as saying.

He emphasized that the e-jeepneys could be acquired without a down payment requirement and with zero-percent interest terms — making the transition to electric vehicles more accessible to drivers and transport operators.
“To date, we’ve consolidated 3,000 units as initial orders for the PUVMP, and these units will not only be available for the PUVMP but will also be sold to private buyers,” Singson said.

She also underlined the importance of international collaboration to solve urban mobility woes.
During the event, Rah provided technical insights on micro-EV, proof-of-concept processes, and their role in advancing equitable and sustainable mobility.
“Our goal is to promote fairness and innovation in the future of transportation, ensuring these advancements benefit all sectors of society,” Rah noted.
