Do you want to cut your CO2 emissions with an electric vehicle like the Nissan Leaf? Then consider its list of benefits.
When fully charged, the Leaf can travel up to 311 kilometers. When running, Nissan claimed that the car has a running noise level of only 21 decibels. Compared to the average 82 decibels that a internal combustion-engine (ICE) car produces when driving at 80kph, that figure is near-silent.
Leaf servicing costs are said to be 20 to 30 percent lower compared to an ICE's, as the EV does away with engine oil and engine filter, among other parts. That should allow the owner to recoup the P2.768 million he or she paid for the Leaf.

If one's budget can stretch to the 3008, one will benefit from the SUV's BlueHDi engine tech. The engine is said to have three stages of cleansing to remove and reduce pollutants, hydrocarbons, CO2, and nitrogen oxides. As a result, the 3008 complies with Euro 6 emissions standards.
Because of its two engines, the Outlander PHEV has a higher price compared to the Leaf. The Outlander's electric motors allow 45 kilometers of CO2-free travels, before the 2.4-liter gasoline engine kicks in. The car is then plugged in to charge the e-motors.
