Lego Releases a 2018 Bugatti Chiron Kit, and It’s Drop-Dead Awesome
If you've ever imagined what a Lego Bugatti Chiron would look like, then you can stop imagining, because someone at Lego finally made it possible. With a 1/8 scale kit that features 3,599 pieces and costing USD350 (over PHP18,000), you can take one home and build it using your impressive Master Builder skills.
Lego has pretty much all of the Chiron’s signature features down pat: the four square LED headlights in horizontal array, the horseshoe grille, and the wide light bar at the rear among many other trademark features. Visibly, you can see that the cabin has highly detailed seats and instruments.
But the car gets even more impressive when you get under the exterior panels, because Lego managed to create a tiny version of the Bugatti hypercar's W16 engine complete with moving pistons. It's even mated to a functioning eight-speed sequential transmission that can be shifted using paddles in the driver's side footwell. How's that for complicated.
Should you plan to take on the build, make sure you have plenty of table space for all the pieces as well as the car itself, as it's nearly two-feet long once complete. You may have to take a week off work, too. Nevertheless, all that cash out and hard work will pay off once you have your own Bugatti Chiron for a fraction of the original cost.
