Lexus reports 106% growth in 2021
Lexus has turned in its 2021 sales report and it seems that Toyota’s luxury division has more than doubled its sales figures. According to the luxury car brand, its global sales for the period of January to December of 2021 totaled 760,012 units — 106 percent growth compared to Lexus sales in 2020.

According to the report, North America and China were among Lexus' best markets in 2021.On a regional level, two markets stood out: North America and China. The former sold approximately 332,000 units with 112-percent growth compared to the previous year’s record while the latter clocks in at approximately 227,000 units with 101-percent growth in sales compared to last year’s figures.
Meanwhile, Lexus sold around 72,000 units in Europe, 28,000 in the Middle East, 30,000 in East Asia, and approximately 51,000 units domestically in Japan.
Lexus shares that its best-selling models for 2021 are the ES, RX, and UX hybrids. Together, these hybrid vehicles raked in approximately 260,000 units.
Lexus aims to achieve an offering with a full lineup of BEVs in all segments by 2030, 100 percent BEV sales in Europe, North America, and China, and one million units sold globally as a new challenge of realizing a carbon-neutral society.

Despite the continuing impact of the spread of the COVID-19 and the tight parts supply chain, we were able to recover sales to a record level in 2021, selling approximately 760,000 units. In 2022, we will continue to refine Lexus' unique design and driving taste that appeals to the sensibilities of our customers, based on our thoughts to ‘be the brand that people who know the real thing choose at the end of the day.’ We will also accelerate the development of electric vehicles starting with the BEV exclusive model ‘RZ’ in spring, we will release a series of new models that will accompany the lifestyles of a variety of customers.
