After being teased a few weeks back, Lexus has officially introduced the fifth-generation RX to a global audience.
In a statement, Toyota’s luxury brand said that the crossover’s newest version “has undergone complete renewal because it is a core model of Lexus.”
Lexus International new RX Chief Engineer Takaaki Ohno cited that the said that the company embraced change on the RX with the aim of “bringing the joy of exhilarating driving to even more customers as a Lexus global core model.”
“We thoroughly worked on the car's fundamentals to pursue a new driving experience and design that was both captivating and rooted in functionality, aiming for a car that made driving more enjoyable and offered a more exhilarating experience on familiar drives,” the official shared.
Aside from what was earlier reported, the 2023 Lexus RX now sits on the GA-K platform and is now 25mm wider and has a longer wheelbase (additional 60mm) compared to the outgoing iteration.
