Lotus Cars Manila has formally introduced the Emeya nameplate in the Philippines.
Coming as the latest addition to Lotus’ electrified offerings locally, the aforementioned nameplate came 11 months after the Eletre made its debut in the country.
According to the Autohub Group of Companies, the electric hyper GT model furthered the British automotive marque’s thrust towards its goal of becoming an all-electric global premium brand.
“We are so excited to be bringing the all-new Emeya to the Philippines. This launch marks a new era in luxury electric vehicles, blending advanced aerodynamics with unparalleled performance and everyday usability. This vehicle exemplifies Autohub Group’s commitment to innovation and sustainability in the automotive industry,” Autohub Group Autohub Group President Willy Tee Ten was quoted as saying.
For his part, Lotus Cars Asia Pacific and Middle East Chief Executive Officer Dan Balmer said that the Emeya arrival in the country is “set to redefine the benchmark of sustainable luxury driving in the Philippine market.”
“We are thrilled to bring this revolutionary vehicle to passionate Filipino drivers who seek the best in both technology and driving experience,” he added.
Outside, the all-new Lotus Emeya features an active front grille, rear diffuser and spoiler, as well as crafted carbon fiber exterior elements that complements its low center of gravity stance. It has 0.21Cd-drag coefficient or downforce of around 150 kilograms.
Inside its cabin are repurposed fibers from the fashion industry (Wyron Truecycle), knurled metal on all interior touchpoints,15.1-inch high-definition OLED Lotus HyperOS infotainment system powered by Unreal Engine gaming technology, a 55-inch head-up display, and KEF in-car audio system (that has a Uni-Q speaker design and Uni-Core space-saving subwoofer enclosure, combined with Dolby Atmos enabled 3D surround sound system).
The all-new Lotus Emeya offers 509-liter space and a 31-liter front trunk capacity, ambient lighting, five massage modes at three different intensity levels, power-assisted doors, a kick sensor on the tailgate, advanced intelligent panoramic glass roof (which drivers can switch between opaque and clear).
Propelling the new addition to the Lotus stable in the Philippines are a pair of electric motors (with full-time all-wheel drive and Lotus ICC Intelligent Torque Distribution) with five drive modes (Range, Tour, Sport, Individual, and Track). Such a powertrain set-up (that has the capability to dish out 905 horsepower) lets the car reach 100 kilometers per hour (kph) from standstill in less than 2.8 seconds and hit 200 kph in nine seconds.
The electrified motors are mated to a high-performance, twin-layer battery with cooling attributes that give the all-new Lotus Emeya an emission-free range of 610 kilometers (based on Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure standards).
The power bank can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in 14 minutes, using a 400-kilowatt DC charger. Notably, the Lotus employs a cell-to-pack battery structure, which means that 20 percent more cells are fitted in the same space versus a standard module architecture.
Drivers can customize the all-new Lotus Emeya in terms of efficiency, performance, and comfort by adjusting the ride height, air suspension stiffness, acceleration response, and seat configuration (with adjustable side bolsters), among others. Its electronically-controlled air suspension system features advanced onboard sensors that responds to changes in road conditions and automatically adjusts the vehicle set-up.
Further contributing to the vehicle’s performance are the lightweight carbon ceramic brakes.
In addition, the all-new Lotus Emeya features the latest technology hardware, with its own proprietary software comprised of the following:
Retailed in six colors namely Boreal Grey, Fireglow Orange, Solar Yellow, Akoya White, Stellar Black, and Kaimu Grey, the all-new Lotus Emeya can be had in any of the three trims:
As a special offer, Lotus Manila is giving the Emeya a complimentary XPPF Paint Protection Film, VK Series V-Kool Tint and a seven-kilowatt home charger for customers who reserve until October 31, 2024.
