While waiting for Lotus Cars Manila to share relevant information about its forthcoming purely-electric offering, here are some details about the vehicle in overseas markets.
The Lotus Eletre is offered in three variants abroad.
Should the country be offering the top-of-the-line trim, then the market would have the version that is powered by the Eletre 675 motor paired with a two-speed transmission that can dish out up to 975 horsepower (hp). The aforementioned powertrain combination allows the vehicle to go as fast as 260 kilometers per hour (kph) and hit 100 kph from standstill in 2.95 seconds. The battery of the Lotus Eletre’s top-of-the-line version lets the vehicle cover 500 kilometers (km) based on Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure standards.
However, if the country would have the midrange or the baseline model, then the Philippine-bound Lotus Eletre’s mill only has a peak churn of 603 hp, can reach 250 kph, and go 0-100kph in 4.5 seconds. The range of the entry-level Lotus is 600 km while midgrade variation, 580 km.
In terms of hauling capacity, the Lotus Eletre can carry 688-1,532 liters of cargo — with an additional 46 liters in the front storage.
Aside from that, it also has a retractable tow bar that can pull loads of up to 2,250 kilograms.
Inside, the Lotus Eletre abroad is covered in Nappa leather and re-fiber fabric, including the 20-way adjustable seats that have smart heating and massage modes.
