The manual transmission is priced at P8.6 million while the automatic version costs P8.888 million.The Autohub Group of Companies made the announcement during its 23rd-anniversary celebration.
The forthcoming midengine premium sports car is equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 power mill (Toyota’s 2GR-FE) with Edelbrock 1740 supercharger that can deliver as much as 400 horses and 420Nm of pulling power —allowing the vehicle to reach 290kph and sprint from zero to 60mph in 4.3 seconds.
The Lotus Emira (which is 4,412mm long; 1,895mm wide [mirrors folded>; 1,225mm tall; with a 2,575mm wheelbase) weighs only 1,405 kilograms.
In an interview, Lotus Cars Manila General Manager Jeff Lizardo said that the company has yet to confirm the total number of units that will be arriving locally as it is still accepting pre-orders for the Emira.
“So far, all placed orders are (have) owners,” he said.
The vehicle, which was launched globally last year, is offered in six-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmission. The official distributor of Lotus cars in the country announced that the former is priced at P8.6 million while the latter is at P8.888 million.
Further, the aforementioned hypercar will be offered in six color options namely Nimbus Grey, Dark Verdant, Hethel Yellow, Shadow Grey, Magma Red, and Seneca Blue.
Also, the coming of the Emira also serves to signal the departure of three nameplates under Hethel-headquartered marque: the Elise, Exige and Evora.
