Lotus unveils Eletre hyper SUV
Lotus has finally unveiled its latest electric vehicle (EV), the Eletre hyper sport utility vehicle (SUV).

Additionally, the vehicle's torque ranges from 710 Newton-meters (Nm) for the entry-level and climbs up to 985Nm for the top-of-the-line model.
Speed peaks from 258-265 kilometers per hour (kph). The base model can go from zero to 100kph in just 4.5 seconds while the top trim level, in 2.95 seconds.

The Eletre, plus the other fully electric lifestyle models that we’ve already announced, are providing customers and fans with a range of highly desirable Lotus cars that can fulfill all their needs at different times of their life. It’s a natural progression for the brand and a hugely exciting one because Lotus is about delivering the very best performance no matter what segment the car sells in,” he added.
Further enhancing the driving experience is a suite of drive modes namely Tour Mode, Range Mode, Sport Mode, Off-road Mode, Individual Mode, and Track Mode. Depending on the option selected, a driver can personalize the Lotus Eletre’s dynamic capabilities to best suit the situation.
Providing juice to the Lotus Eletre is a 112-kilowatt-hour battery with 800 volts. The lithium-ion battery pack offers an estimated range of about 490 kilometers (km) for the top-tier variant and as much as 600km of all-electric range for the entry-level.
The battery, Lotus pointed out can be charged from 10 to 80 percent — using a 350 kilowatt (kW) direct current rapid charger — in as fast as 20 minutes. Meanwhile, it can be charged from zero to 100 percent — using a 22kW alternating current wallbox — in a little over five hours.

Available for order in the United Kingdom, the Lotus Eletre is offered in three variants: Eletre, Eletre S, and Eletre R. The hyper SUV is priced at £89,500 (approximately P6.265 million). Pricing in other regions will be announced in due course.
