The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) is offering free rides to commuters during the ongoing two-day transport strike.

Per LTFRB, it is offering free rides to help the commuters using public transportation.According to LTFRB, it has already coordinated with relevant agencies and local government units to alleviate the expected transportation challenges by people who use public transport.
Per LTFRB Chairperson Teofilo Guadiz III, the agency respects the right of drivers and operators to free expression as enshrined in the Constitution, and acknowledges the concerns of the transport sector.
“We remain committed to ensuring the commuting public’s access to transportation,” he said.
The agency also urged drivers participating in the strike not to cause heavy traffic on major thoroughfares.
The said transport strike was organized by two transport groups, the LTFRB noted.
