LTFRB Reopens More PUV Routes To, From PITX
The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) is reopening more routes for public utility vehicles to and from the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX).
According to the Board, it is opening the new routes "to achieve the objective of improving the accessibility in the PITX area and complement the smooth operation of the newly-opened land port by opening development routes for the benefit of the riding public."
The LTFRB explained that will most of the routes were opened in time for the opening of the PITX in December 2018, the applicant-operators had either failed to meet the qualifications set by it or had "no applications at all, hence, no operators were selected."
However, in its thrust to serve the public, the LTFRB is once again accepting applicants for the issuance of new certificates of public convenience (CPCs) to serve the following routes:
Public Utility Buses (PUBs)
- PITX-Dasmariñas City
- PITX-Alfonso/Mendez
