LTFRB to Open 7 P2P, Terminal-to-Terminal Bus Routes
Planning to go from Valenzuela to Santa Rosa, Laguna but the prospect of having to endure numerous stops on the way to get there seems needless and daunting? Well, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has some good news for you as it is now accepting applicants for point-to-point (P2) public utility bus operators that will operate between the agency's designated terminals.
Under Memorandum Circular No. 2019-037, the agency has designated seven routes that will be served by 30 point-to-point bus units each. These are:
- Santa Rosa Interim Terminal - Araneta Bus Terminal, Cubao via EDSA -- Fare: PHP98
- Santa Rosa Interim Terminal - BFCT via C5 -- Fare: PHP104
- Santa Rosa Interim Terminal - Valenzuela Gateway Complex Interim Terminal via EDSA -- Fare: PHP126
- Valenzuela Gateway Complex Interim Terminal - Araneta Bus Terminal, Cubao via EDSA -- Fare: PHP33
- Valenzuela Gateway Complex Interim Terminal - BFCT via EDSA, Aurora Boulevard -- Fare: PHP41
- Valenzuela Gateway Complex Interim Terminal - Parañaque Intergrated Terminal Exchange via EDSA -- Fare: PHP69
- Santa Rosa Interim Terminal - Parañaque Intergrated Terminal Exchange -- Fare: PHP85
So, the commute between terminals seems easier once the operators required pass the LTFRB's scrutiny.
