Mahindra launches Bolero MaXX PikUp City 3000

Mahindra unveiled a new sub-brand that will bolster its presence in the commercial Indian pickup truck segment: the Bolero MaXX Pik-Up.

According to Mahindra, the new brand of futuristic pickup trucks is aimed at new-age business owners and will cater to the continuously growing transport and logistics needs of modern India. In conjunction with the inauguration of the new truck brand, Mahindra has launched the Bolero MaXX PikUp City 3000, a light commercial vehicle (LCV) that promises “MaXX-imum” profit for India’s business owners.

Some of its appealing features include the m2Di engine which makes 65 horsepower (hp) and 195-newton meters (Nm) of torque. According to Mahindra, the prudent powerplant offers “class-leading mileage” of about 17.2 kilometers per liter (kpl).

Considering urban transportation needs, the Bolero MaXX Pik-Up City 3000 offers a higher payload capacity of 1300 kilograms (kg), the widest cargo dimensions in the category at 1700 millimeters (mm), over-slung suspension, and best in category R15 tires for better loading stance. Additionally, its lower operating cost further boosts savings and income for the customers.

And to brave the tight and narrow Indian city streets, Mahindra designed and engineered the Bolero MaXX Pik-Up City 3000 with a 5.5-meter turning radius, allowing it to easily negotiate through tough traffic. Plus, its compact design makes it ideally suited for city roads for inter and intra-city transportation.

The Bolero MaXX PikUp City 3000 was also designed to look the part. It comes with premium design features such as a modern-looking front grille, headlamps, and a premium new dashboard with a digital cluster.

It also comes with height adjustable driver seats, “Turn Safe Lights,” and LED tail lamps.

And to give the new pickup truck brand more ammunition as it forays into the LCV segment, Mahindra equips the Bolero MaXX Pik-Up brand with its advanced iMAXX telematics solution. This feature allows business owners to deploy vehicle telematics and onboard vehicle diagnostics to improve business productivity and reduce operating costs.

With over 30+ features accessible on a mobile app, the iMAXX telematics solution supports business owners in gaining powerful insights into vehicle health and performance and fleet operators with route planning, delivery scheduling, navigation, vehicle tracking, geo-fencing, and fuel log, amongst other features.

The Bolero MaXX PikUp City 3000 is now offered at an introductory price of ₹768,000 Indian Rupees (INR) — about P541,714. It comes in three colors: Neo Gold, Drizzle Silver, and White.

Recently, the Mumbai-based automotive firm extended its partnership with Volkswagen to accelerate the electrification of the automotive market in India.
