How Many Motoring Race Tracks Do We Have in the Philippines?

The racing community in the Philippines is booming and growing, with more and more drivers and teams being added to the fold with each racing event. If you're wondering about the answer to the question posed in the title, our country currently has five race tracks, all of which are located in Luzon. We list each of these race tracks below, along with the racing events you can expect to happen there. Keep in mind that these are only formal race tracks and exclude temporary and provisional race tracks such as those in SM Mall of Asia, Fort Bonifacio, Cebu, and Alabang Filinvest.

Batangas Racing Circuit

Located in Barrio Maligaya, Rosario, Batangas, BRC is a 3.7-km long circuit that contains 10 turns and runs in a clockwise direction. The track hosts both two-wheeled and four-wheeled races and features a drag strip. Some of the racing events held there include: FlatOut Race Series, Philippine GT, and Philippine Superbike Championship, plus the National Drag Racing Championship via its 1-km. drag strip.

Carmona Racing Circuit

Built specifically for motorbike and kart races, this track in Carmona, Cavite contains four racing configurations ranging from 750 m. to 1 km. that can be selected depending on the race. With nine turns and running in a clockwise direction, the venue hosts regular racing events that include: the Super Karting Series, Yamaha R-Day, TSR Championship, and Apex Cup.

Clark International Speedway

The 4.2-km. Clark International Speedway at Clark Freeport zone in Mabalacat, Pampanga has a Grade 4 accreditation level from the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). The track features 18 turns and runs in a counter-clockwise direction, and hosts both two-wheeled and four-wheeled events such as: the Philippine Superbike Championship, Toyota Vios Cup, Philippine GT Championship, Philippine Touring Car Championship, and FlatOut Race Series. Like the Batangas Racing Circuit, CIS also has a 1-km. drag strip often used by the National Drag Racing Championship.

 

Palawan International Circuit

Located in Sta. Monica, Puerto Princesa, the Palawan International Circuit features 15 turns on a 1.3-km. race track running in a clockwise direction. Catering mainly to go-karts and motorbikes, regular events held at the venue include: Petron Palawan Motorsports Championships, Palawan Moto Sport Underbone & Scooter Cup, and Rok GP Super Karting Series.

Tarlac Circuit Hill

The latest race track in the North, which opened in November 2015, boasts a 1.5-km. circuit with 15 turns and a 12-m. minimum width. Tarlac Circuit Hill is the first race track in the country to host night races and runs in a clockwise direction.
