According to Maserati, the Maserati Classiche is available for cars from more than two decades ago plus the special series models. How does the Maserati Classiche certify the presented cars?
Maserati relies on a committee of experts and the documents preserved in Maserati’s own historical archives.Through the Maserati Classiche program, the Italian luxury car brand will not only be able to offer an exclusive assistance service dedicated to the its customers and collectors, but also a way to certify the authenticity of a Maserati vehicle.
The first road car certified by the Maserati Classiche program is a Mistral 3700, built in March 1969, with the silver Auteuil livery. This Maserati Mistral received a certificate of originality after thorough verification of the car (with over 300 checks made), matched against all the documents held by Maserati’s own historical archive.
According to Maserati, the certification process is guaranteed by a committee of experts and is available for Maserati cars from more than 20 years ago plus the special series, including those from the recent past such as the MC12 and the Quattroporte limited editions.
For collectors and owners of classic Maserati vehicles, the Maserati Classiche is a big deal. Not only will a certification from the new program increase the value of their prized possessions but it will also give them access to a better means of maintaining these garage queens.
Owners can book a request for Maserati Certification of Authenticity on the Maserati Classiche website.
Maserati says that in addition to certifying the vehicles, the Maserati Classiche program will offer maintenance service for in-house minor repairs and routine maintenance, as well as an on-demand car detailing service.
Maserati Classiche provides a service to support the preservation of the cars and the restoration of every detail to match the original.
The next step in the Maserati Classiche program consists of a series of major assistance services, scheduled for 2022 and to be taken care of by Maserati itself, with the inclusion of the “Classiche” spare parts management and both assistance and support with restoration.
Pretty much like Toyota’s GR Heritage Parts program, Maserati aims to manufacture spare parts no longer available on the market, following indications taken from the original designs. Maserati said that the process “uses the best technology there is to improve the reliability and functionality of the components, with no changes to their aesthetic appearance.”
In addition, Maserati will offer Maserati-branded apparel for men, women, and “mini-me” versions dubbed the Capsule Collection through the Maserati Classiche program.
