In July, Maserati announced Project24: a limited-edition track-only weapon that’s as powerful as it is unique. This time, the Italian luxury car brand showcased new images of what the souped-up MC20 can offer.
KEY TAKEAWAYS
What is the color of the Project24 shown in Maserati’s photo?
The Project24 shown in Maserati’s new photo set wears a dark blue paint. How many units of the Maserati Project24 will be made?
According to Maserati, only 62 units of the Project24 race car will be built. The photos shared by the Modena-based brand reveal a new dark blue hue. The renderings they revealed two months ago show the Project24 finished in a two-tone paint that combines the shades silver and blue. This solid finish gives the Project24 a more mature appeal.
Maserati said that the body of the Project24 boasts an all-new, aerodynamically focused carbon-fiber body with a multi-adjustable front and rear wing.
Its bespoke forged 18-inch aluminum rims appear to be shod in the same slick tires shown in the initial photos from the Trident brand.
According to the carmaker, Project24 is the most custom-built level in Fuoriserie (the brand's customization program, to make the very best of its potential). On that note, would-be owners can expect wide personalization options which may range from bespoke track-oriented amenities to custom-made interior appointments.
As for what’s inside, Maserati previously shared that the Project24 will come equipped with racing seats, a customizable racing pedal box, a customizable steering column, a six-point racing safety belt, and a carbon-fiber steering wheel with an integrated display.
In addition, it will sport Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA)-approved features like an FIA-homologated FT3 120-liter fuel tank and roll cage, an FIA-spec fire extinguisher, as well as an FIA-approved rain light.
Under the hood is a V6 twin-turbo Maserati Nettuno engine — that makes 740 horsepower (hp) — mated to a six-speed sequential racing gearbox with paddle shifters.
Per Maserati, only 62 units of the highly-customizable Project24 will be made.
