Maserati tests Grecale prototypes over snow and ice
Maserati continues to put Grecale prototypes through their paces, this time in the cold of the Swedish glades where they have delivered their maximum power in extreme conditions and on very low-grip surfaces.

Where did Maserati conduct the Grecale's winter testing?
Maserati took the Grecale to the snowy Swedish glades to test in it harsh winter conditions. What changes did Maserati make with the Grecale during the testing phase?
According to Maserati, it fine-tuned the car's traction, understeer, and oversteer in different drive modes and with varying sizes and types of wheels.According to the Italian luxury car brand, not even snow and ice can stop the Grecale’s energy. During the trial phase, the prototypes were tested to fine-tune their start-up and driveability at extreme temperatures, to check the vehicle dynamics on mixed surfaces of tarmac, snow, and ice, and to maintain in-car comfort in all weather conditions, varying from a few degrees above zero to as low as -30°C in Lapland.
Maserati also conducted tests to fine-tune the car's traction, understeer, and oversteer in different drive modes and with varying sizes and types of wheels, to specifically characterize each of the driving modes on offer.
During the testing phase, the Maserati Grecale proved that it can perform even on low grip tracks, completing high-performance laps on various circuits, from steering pads to more demanding routes featuring corners, slopes, long straights, and drops, on snowy or icy surfaces.
Reports say that the semiconductor shortage has caused Maserati to delay the Grecale’s debut. It was originally scheduled to be unveiled in November last year, but has now been pushed back to Spring (from March to June) of 2022.
