Italian luxury vehicle manufacturer, Maserati, introduces the Levante Hybrid SUV in a back-to-back premiere both physically and virtually. The live presentation happened in the ongoing Shanghai Auto Show while the virtual launch happened on the brand’s website.
According to Maserati, the Levante Hybrid is “Faster. Greener. Unique.”
The hybrid SUV is outfitted with a four-cylinder two-liter engine with a 48-volt hybrid system. This gives the Levante Hybrid a maximum power of 330hp and a maximum torque of 450Nm. It can speed up to 240kph and goes from zero to 100kph in just six seconds. It shares the same powertrain as the recently unveiled Ghibli Hybrid.
Dimension-wise, Maserati’s electrified SUV measures 5,005mm long, 1,981mm wide, and 1,693mm tall. The vehicle’s total weight is less than the six-cylinder engine sitting under the bonnet. And with the battery in the rear, the Levante Hybrid enjoys superior weight distribution and optimal balance.
Its exterior is characterized by sleek lines donning the iconic air ducts at the side. Likewise, brake calipers and the C-pillar logo complements the stylish metallic tri-coat color called Azzurro Astro — a new paint option available through the brand’s customization program.
Inside, the same blue theme continues, specifically on the embroidered seams of the seats.
The Levante Hybrid also elevates car connectivity with the Maserati Connect, allowing drivers to stay connected with the vehicle either via their smartphones or smartwatches. Similarly, personal assistants like Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant will work with the hybrid SUV through the Maserati Connect App. Maserati said that through Maserati Connect, their clientele can enjoy features that will improve their overall customer care experience.
