Maxus G50 undergoes ‘family test drive’ with press, content creators

Maxus Philippines recently conducted a “family test drive” event for the G50, inviting some members of the motoring press as well as local content creators.

In a statement, Maxus Philippines said that the purpose of the event was to highlight the advantages of the vehicle, which they shared, is good for those who are shopping for a multi-purpose vehicle "that performs well on any occasion."

The event allowed the participants to experience what it’s like inside the variants of the Maxus G50 namely the Premium, Elite, Pro, and Comfort — in various road conditions.

Maxus Philippines also said that on their way to Subic, participants enjoyed the spacious eight-passenger seating capacity, “as well as the power and fuel efficiency of the turbocharged gasoline engine.”

The company said that the available cruise control complemented the vehicle's maneuverability and stability especially during cornering.

During a walkaround for the Premium, Elite, Pro and Comfort variants, the host highlighted the key features found on each variant:

• The G50 Comfort line has Electronic Stabilization Program (ESP) and rear parking sensors
• The G50 Pro comes with multifunction leather steering wheel, rear camera, keyless entry and push start, electronic parking brake with auto hold, cruise control, and infotainment radio with eight-inch touchscreen
• The G50 Elite is equipped with 360-degree camera, 12-inch touchscreen radio, and roof rail
• The G50 Premium features electronically-adjusted front seats, panoramic sunroof, power tailgate, side airbag, power folding exterior mirror and LED headlamps

The vehicle was also used to showcase the safety technologies in the model’s Premium and Elite trims during a drive activity in a controlled area.

Priced at P948,000, the Maxus G50 Comfort  (which has a 1.3-liter engine paired to a manual slushbox) is the latest addition to the G50 roster. The other G50 variants are offered at the following prices:

• G50 Pro: P1.179 million
• G50 Elite: P1.259 million
• G50 Premium: P1.338 million

All Maxus G50 variants are packaged with five VehiCare Programs — five-year warranty or 100,000 kilometers (whichever comes first); five-year free 24/7 emergency roadside assistance; reliable parts management system and parts stock for up to five months; onsite and virtual product support with home service and pick-up and delivery; and maintenance costs that are 40 percent lower compared to other brands for the first five years.

Relatedly, Maxus Philippines will soon expand to 12 dealerships come the third quarter of 2022.
