Mazda Philippines has revealed the
2020 Mazda CX-5, all powered by petrol, with the diesel variant coming in by next year.
According to
Mazda Philippines President Steven Tan, the 2020 CX-5 diesel will be out in the country first half of next year.
But for now, let's feast on the new offerings.
The latest CX-5 has
two different powertrains, namely the
2.5-liter Skyactiv-G for the top of the line and
2.0-liter Skyactiv for the mid and base variant.
All these are mated with the
Skyactiv-drive six-speed automatic with Sport Mode. Aside from that, all three variants have
G-Vectoring Control Plus that have either
I-Activ all-wheel drive or
front-wheel drive for its drivetrain.
All the three are equipped with the
i-Stop idling system.
For its exterior, the latest Mazda CX-5 sports the same mesh grille complemented by the bolder lines around the vehicle.
The midsize crossover sits on
either 19-inch or 17-inch alloy wheels, which works well with the
dual-type exhaust tail pipe.
The black leather interiors and details show sophistication similar to the previous version.
The
Mazda Connect with touchscreen LCD can be connected via USB, AUX, or Bluetooth that can blast music through its
10-speaker Bose soundsystem (for the top-of-the-line) or
six speakers.
Standard safety features include:
- Six airbags (front, side, curtain)
- ABS-EBD
- Dynamic Stability Control
- Smart Keyless Entry System
- Isofix system
- Child-Lock Protection
