MANILA: Mazda Philippines is now offering the latest anniversary version of the MX-5.
Currently displayed at Power Plant Mall in Rockwell, Makati until March 2, the Mazda MX-5 35th Anniversary Edition was first showcased locally last weekend at the latest Sports Cars For a Cause event held in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
The roadster’s aforementioned iteration is to celebrate the nameplate’s 35th anniversary since it was introduced in 1989 at the Chicago Auto Show.
To note, the Mazda MX-5 35th Anniversary Edition’s made its world debut at the 2024 Mazda Fan Festa in Fuji Speedway.
Mazda Philippines is only retailing 15 examples the car’s limited-run version, priced at P2.49 million apiece.

Meanwhile, its interior has some matching appliques with its exterior look like the Artisan Red Premium Metallic-colored upper door panels and air-conditioning vents, heated tan Nappa leather seats embossed with exclusive “35th Anniversary” logos. Complementing the cabin’s overall aesthetic are the matching tan carpeting and floor mats.
Similar to the Mazda MX-5 Soft Top offerings, the 35th Anniversary Edition comes with the following amenities:
Under the Mazda MX-5 35th Anniversary Edition is a Skyactiv-G gasoline-powered mill paired to a six-speed manual transmission.

Additionally, the Mazda MX-5 Anniversary Edition is equipped with two new circuit-developed technologies (DSC-TRACK mode and Asymmetric Limited Slip Differential) as well as the sport-tuned Bilstein dampers — just like the rest of its model’s MT trims.
