Mazda Philippines announced the last call of orders for the MX-5 MCP 25th Anniversary Edition will only be up to the end of the month.
While the reservations for the collectible model will be closed on July 31, the Japanese automaker’s local distributor said that the deliveries will continue until all orders have been served.
Per Mazda Philippines, a total of 60 MX-5 MCP 25th Anniversary Edition units — which reflect the special relationship with the Miata Club of the Philippines (MCP) — were already delivered to customers and another 10 to be turned over soon.
Founded in 1997 by Eddie Salonga, the MCP is said to be the oldest single-make car club in the country.
To note, the Mazda MX-5 MCP Anniversary Edition comes in Platinum Quartz Metallic with a Navy Blue soft top. Navy Blue accents are also placed on the side mirrors and roll hoops while silver 17-inch alloy wheels complete the exterior aesthetics.
Inside, the Mazda MX-5 MCP 25th Anniversary Edition has a special Mazda Connect Commander knob and serial number plate all finished in Sterling Silver. Its standard features include black leather seats, an auto-dimming rear view mirror, wireless Apple CarPlay, and a nine-speaker Bose sound system.
Further, every buyer of the Mazda MX-5 MCP Anniversary Edition will receive a commemorative car cover and the MCP 25th anniversary photobook.
“The MX-5 MCP 25th Anniversary Edition honors and distinguishes the Miata Club of the Philippines. We are happy with the strong reception of this special, and soon to be, limited edition MX-5 in the country. That is why we are giving the public one last chance to own a piece of automotive history,” Mazda Philippines President Steven Tan said.
The MX-5 MCP 25th Anniversary Edition is offered in both manual and automatic options with a special price of P2.25 million and P2.3 million, respectively.
