Japanese automotive brand Mazda has plenty of reasons to be optimistic despite the gloomy situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Aside from celebrating its centennial year, it also managed to win big at the World Car Awards, with the all-new Mazda3 nabbing the coveted 2020 World Car Design of the Year.
The local arm, Mazda Philippines, shares this optimism and celebrates the brand's milestones by introducing a new trim package for the Mazda3 that further “enhances both its design and desirability."
The Mazda3 edition100 has colorway and detail enhancements that accentuate the dynamic form of the Mazda3 Sportback Premium, further boosting its presence on the road.
The Mazda3 edition100 has been fitted with original equipment Mazdaspeed body kits that have been color-matched with the three key body colors of the Mazda3 Sportback Premium. These colorways are Soul Red body kits for the Snowflake White Pearl and Jet Black Mazda3 exterior; and Gloss Black body kits for the Soul Red Crystal exterior.
The Mazda3 edition100 sits on High-Gloss Midnight Black 18-inch wheels and standout red brake calipers. Further, the front license plate holder has been relocated, better revealing the car’s front grille.
The interior has a distinct look courtesy of premium red leather seats and interior trims.
The latest offering still offers the string of safety features such as the Mazda Radar Cruise Control, Cruising Traffic Support, Smart Brake Support for forward and reverse, as well as Front and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Monitoring, Adaptive LED Front-Lighting System, Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist and Driver Attention Alert and Driver Monitoring systems.
Such features earned the 2020 Mazda3 the Top Safety Pick+ status, the highest safety award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). The 2020 Mazda3 model year also marks the 10th consecutive year that the car has been accorded the Top Safety Pick recognition by the IIHS.
“For a hundred years now, Mazda has been at the forefront of designing and creating vehicles that arouse the emotions of its owner,” Mazda Philippines President and CEO Steven Tan said.
“We introduce the Mazda3 edition100 as the first model to celebrate the brand’s unrelenting passion for seamlessly combining stimulating design with groundbreaking engineering. As this year’s World Car Design of the Year winner, the Mazda3 edition100 becomes an even more compelling choice for those who appreciate the exclusivity of distinction.”
The complete Mazda3 edition100 Package retails at P1.610 million—an addition of P100,000 over the 2.0-liter Mazda3 Sportback Premium. Customers may inquire about the car with Mazda Sales Consultants from Mazda’s 20 dealerships across the nation.
