Mazda revives of production of rotary engines

Mazda’s solar power system in its Hiroshima City plant makes 1.1 megawatts of clean power.The said plug-in hybrid units are being built at the carmaker’s Ujina Plant in Hiroshima City, since June 22.
Per Mazda, the MX-30 e-Skyactiv R-EV boasts an 85-kilometer battery electric range, with the aforementioned rotary engine working to extend the automobile’s driving distance.
Additionally, the Japanese carmaker mentioned that the MX-30 embodies Mazda’s multi-solution approach to achieving carbon neutrality.
That said, environmentally-conscious materials were intentionally adopted in the design process of the vehicle. Examples include applying cork and fabrics made from recycled materials in ways that bring out their natural appeal and create a comfortable interior.
Further, the Mazda MX-30 family is also painted using an energy-saving painting process, which contributes to the nameplate’s reduced environmental footprint.
Also, Mazda revealed that the Hiroshima plant that manufactures the Euro-spec MX-30 e-Skyactiv R-EV uses a solar power system that produces 1.1 megawatts.
“Mazda will continue to take steady steps toward the greater challenge of making our entire supply chain carbon neutral by 2050 in our endeavor to help create a future where we can coexist with our beautiful planet in harmony,” Mazda wrote in a press release.
