Mazda to bring MX-30 EV to US soon

Mazda North American Operations confirmed that the MX-30 electric sport utility vehicle (SUV) will be arriving in California in “spring,” which should be from March to May.

The United States arm of Mazda added that the MX-30 maintains the brand’s core values in engaging driving dynamics and distinct design to help owners create an emotional bond with the electric crossover.

Powering the Mazda MX-30 electric vehicle (EV) is the carmaker’s e-Skyactiv technology and a 35.5-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery. According to Mazda, it has an estimated range of about 160 kilometers on a single charge, which makes it perfect for daily commuting or driving around the neighborhood.

Inside is an 8.8-inch large infotainment display with the latest Mazda Connect system, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. This is complemented by a seven-inch digital gauge display that shows relevant driving information in crisp detail.

Other notable interior appointments include Pure White leatherette seats with gray fabric, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, as well as a power moonroof.

Further, the interior has subtle cork elements, which not only add warmth to the cabin but also pay homage to Mazda’s heritage as a cork manufacturer.

In the US, the Mazda MX-30 will be offered in two variants: the MX-30 EV and the MX-30 EV with premium plus packages. They are priced at US$34,110 (P1.872 million) and US$37,120 (P2.037 million), respectively.

Premium paint colors are also available, which will set would-be owners anywhere from US$595 (P32,656) to US$895 (P49,122).
