It will be revealed on March 8.According to the automaker, the all-new Mazda CX-60 (which is the brand’s new flagship model) sports a subtle yet confident styling. The exterior design is inspired by the “less is more” Japanese principle and the concept of Ma (the calm and dignified beauty of empty space).
Meanwhile, the automotive manufacturer noted that the all-new Mazda CX-60’s strong personality “comes from its beautiful and natural proportions, clearly revealing its front-engine, rear-wheel drive character.”
“Seen in profile, a bold flow of light coming from the roof end to the rear fender sweeps down like a strong line written by a Japanese calligraphy brush and plants the car firmly on the ground,” Mazda shared in a statement.
“This, combined with the front opening shoulder line, creates the subtle movement on the side of the car that reflects the environment in a unique yet simple way, bringing the car to life,” it added.
Further, Mazda announced that it has created a new white body color “specifically crafted to highlight the beauty of the CX-60 through contrasting light and shadow.”
Earlier, Mazda said that the all new CX-60 will have a Kaichô-inspired interior by mixing different materials and textures, including maple wood, nappa leather, Japanese textiles and chrome details, and Musubu, the uniquely Japanese way of binding textiles which was the inspiration for the instrument panel stitching.
The latest offering from the Japanese premium automaker will be revealed on March 8.
The vehicle will have a 2.5-liter engine with a performance-enhancing electric motor that can deliver up to 300 horses.
