For those who have grown weary of seeing their Mazda cars in the brand’s signature Soul Red, Mazda USA is giving some of its models a visual jolt courtesy of a new Carbon Edition offering.
The Carbon Edition, exclusive only to Mazda USA’s CX-5, CX-9 AND Mazda6 units, dresses the cars up in Polymetal Gray paint finish with black accents such as such as black metallic finish aluminum alloy wheels and gloss black door mirrors. This exterior aesthetic is complemented by red leather seats, red stitching, and black honeycomb trimming in the interior.
Aside from these exclusives, the 2021 CX-5, CX-9 and Mazda6 Carbon Edition vehicles will also be well-equipped with numerous premium infotainment and convenience amenities, such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, Bose premium audio system, and heated front seats.
Most of Mazda’s i-Activsense safety features, such as blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, smart brake support, and Mazda radar cruise control with stop and go are all equipped in these models to “help offer peace of mind for every journey on the road,” the company describes.
Mazda North American Operations promises that there’s more in store for the Carbon Edition lineup. Additional features and pricing for the 2021 Carbon Edition vehicles will be shared in accordance with their respective vehicle announcements, according to the Japanese car brand.
The CX-5, CX-9 and Mazda6 are available locally, so here’s hoping that Mazda PH decides to offer the Carbon Edition here.
It’s not without precedent for Mazda PH to bring limited-run collections to our local shores. They’ve brought the 30th Anniversary Edition Mazda MX-5 last year. Recently, they also made the Mazda3 edition100 available for local orders.
