the McLaren 750S is priced from US$324,000 (around P18.043 million) to US$345,000 (approximately P19.212 million).Per the British supercar marque, the McLaren 750S is its lightest and most powerful series-production automobile to date.
It is powered by a 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 engine — paired with a seven-speed seamless-shift gearbox — that sends the McLaren 750S from a standstill to about 100 kilometers per hour (kph) in just 2.7 seconds. Top speed is at 331kph.
The suite of lightweight appointments flaunted by the McLaren 750s includes a carbon fiber upper structure, a carbon fiber monocoque, carbon fiber-shelled racing seats, and a set of new 10-spoke ultra-lightweight forged wheels — which according to the carmaker are the lightest ever fitted as standard on a series-production McLaren.
“When you have a car recognized by so many drivers as a benchmark, to do something even better you have to examine every detail and really push hard for improvements that raise the bar again. This is what we have done with the new 750S and the lightweight, V8 engine performance and outstanding dynamic abilities combine to deliver a supercar driving experience that hits new heights, with truly exhilarating levels of emotional connection,” said McLaren Automotive Chief Executive Officer Michael Leiters.
The McLaren 750S also benefits from the latest iteration of the brand’s Proactive Chassis Control (PCC) linked-hydraulic suspension, PCC III. The new generation system delivers even higher levels of suspension performance and is integral to the outstanding dynamic abilities of the McLaren 750S.
Hardware and software updates were endowed to McLaren’s PCC III, such as softer front suspensions, stiffer rear suspensions, and reconfigured passive and active elements of the bespoke valve stack.
Other notable features offered by the McLaren 750S include driver-selectable modes to change both damper settings and roll stiffness, dampers fine-tuned for compression and rebound, and a calibrated electro-hydraulically assisted steering.
The McLaren 750S also comes with the brand’s Variable Drift Control, which allows drivers to adjust the intervention level of the traction control system independently of the Electronic Stability Control setting. This, the Woking-based brand pointed out, allows the driver to move seamlessly from the stage where the car’s electronic systems are intervening regularly to a stage where they are not intervening at all.
“All McLarens are precisely engineered and remarkably rapid, but with the new 750S we have focused on enriching the full range of characteristics that deliver the exhilaration experienced when driving the car, that pure emotional connection so sought after by enthusiasts,” commented McLaren Automotive Head of Vehicle Development Ben Gulliver.
McLaren also focused on driver comfort when it developed the 750S. The cabin of the supercar boasts an Apple CarPlay compatible new Central Information Screen, a new Bowers & Wilkins premium audio system, and can be had with either Alcantara or Nappa leather materials.
“Just as the vehicle dynamics team focused on letting 750S drivers really ‘feel’ the enhanced performance, our designers worked to highlight the high-tech, driver-centric nature of the cabin. Features such as the new steering column-mounted instrument display with Active Dynamics controls incorporated and the HD display screens are immediately apparent, but everywhere you look or feel, the quality and craftsmanship of the 750S are evident,” explained McLaren Automotive 750S Chief Engineer Sandy Holford.
The McLaren 750S is offered in coupe and convertible body styles. They are priced in the United States at US$324,000 (around P18.043 million) and US$345,000 (approximately P19.212 million), respectively.
