Pardon the Star Wars nerdism* here, but it's May 5 today -- the "Revenge of the Fifth" day celebration. This is where fans all over the world commemorate Star Wars: Episode III's "Revenge of the Sith" by celebrating the "Dark Side" and the Sith Lords that appeared in all the Star Wars series.
So what better way to commemorate this "special day" than to get to know a best-selling sports vehicle inspired by the most popular Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Vader?
It's no other than the new 2018 Ford Mustang.
Melvin Betancourt, Ford's design manager, actually created the nose of the new Mustang in the same likeness as Darth Vader's mask.
"When we were designing the new 2018 Mustang, the team wanted to make the new model look more aggressive, and one place where we found inspiration was one of the most famous screenplay villains of all time. The angled nostrils and contours of Darth Vader's mask became the inspiration for the Mustang's new fog lamp scoops and front-end shape."
And while there's only a bit of semblance to the mask of Luke Skywalker's Father / Archenemy / Subconscious Nightmare & Everything Else, if you look closer, you can actually see that the trapezoid-shaped front end of this pony car does appear like Darth Vader's mouthpiece.
Very interesting.
So how will it fare to all Mustang lovers and fans out there? Well, it seems the force is strong on this one, since many -- even us -- predict that it will be a big hit.

*We'd like to hammer the last nail on the coffin by giving you another extremely nerdy trivia about Star Wars. Yesterday (May 4) was actually the unofficial Star Wars Day created by fans across the world to celebrate everything about this "mega epic space" franchise.
And in case you're wondering why May 4 instead of all the remaining dates, it's because the catchphrase "May the Force be with you" sounds a lot like "May the Fourth be with you". Apparently, the pun stuck with the fans, and even some government officials celebrate this day in a variety of ways via social media and television.
