Mercedes-AMG has released an “entry-level” model of the GLC sport utility vehicle.
Compared to the Mercedes-Benz GLC recently rolled out by the Auto Nation Group here in the Philippines, this AMG-spec model offers several performance-oriented appointments.
These come in the form of the AMG-specific radiator grille with vertical struts and the unique front apron with flics and chrome-plated trim. Also noticeable are its side skirt panels as well as its rear apron and a diffuser with two round twin tailpipe trims.
Inside, the Mercedes-AMG GLC offers man-made Artico leather seats combined with Microcut AMG microfiber with unique graphics and covers. The said seats can also be had with embossed AMG emblem on the front head restraints, as well as AMG performance seats, should its would-be owners want a more unique look.
Powering the Mercedes-AMG GLC is an AMG-tuned 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric exhaust gas turbocharger. Maximum output is at 421 horsepower (hp) compared to the 204hp output of the non-AMG Philippine-spec GLC.
According to Mercedes-AMG, the entry-level sporty GLC can be slapped with plenty of add-on options such as the Exterior AMG Night Package, AMG Night Package II, AMG Exterior Carbon Package, AMG Performance Advanced Seat Package, and High-end AMG Performance Seat Package, to name a few.
Price, per Mercedes-Benz’s performance division, starts at €86,870 (about P5.301 million).
