Mercedes-Benz Philippines unleashed the 2023 GLC in the country not too long ago.
The updated model is now sleeker and more powerful, thanks to a host of upgrades that made it an even more appealing option for car buyers looking for a luxurious ride. But how does the new Mercedes-Benz GLC stack up against the competition?
Let’s find out.
The BMW X1 is a solid contender for the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC. Like the latter, the former packs a luxurious exterior with its chrome BMW kidney grille with slim adaptive LED headlamps on each side. Its lower lip sports a rugged silver design.
The side profile of the BMW X1 is boxy and beefy.
To the rear of the BMW X1 are three-dimensional L-shaped taillamps that boast an interplay of transparent and dark smoked glass together with hexagonal patterns.
Inside the BMW X1 is the slim and frameless BMW Widescreen Display that can be operated through touch and voice commands. It also sports a modern central console that is equipped with a switch and sliding control. It is also fitted with a wireless charging tray.
Power comes from a 2.0-liter engine mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission, which makes 150 horsepower (hp) and 360 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque.
The Audi Q5 is yet another nameplate that warmly welcomes the arrival of the new Mercedes-Benz GLC.
Touted as a vehicle that combines the sportiness of an Audi Avant with high everyday usability, the Audi Q5 wears a large trapezoidal grille flanked by LED headlamps on each side.
Its side profile is characterized by sexy lines with captivating contours.
The rear end is highlighted by slim taillamps that feature various lighting scenarios for that added level of personalization. Its twin exhaust pipes also create a beautiful sight for those who view the Audi Q5 from behind.
Inside the Audi Q5 is a set of screens similar to the Mercedes-Benz GLC. Past its steering wheel is a digital instrument cluster and beside it is a floating infotainment system. Further below is its stylish center console and an ergonomic gear shifter.
The Audi Q5 gets its power from a 2.0-liter powerplant paired with a seven-speed automatic gearbox. This setup reportedly makes 252hp and 370Nm of torque.
