Mercedes-Benz is upping its entry to the local luxury crossover sport utility vehicle (SUV) category with the 2023 GLC.
It’s true that the new Mercedes-Benz GLC looks sleek and sexy from the outside, but what can its would-be owners find inside? That said, we’re going to take a look at what’s in the cabin of the said luxury crossover SUV.
It’s only befitting for a luxury automobile to offer seats finished in premium hide. On that note, occupants of the Mercedes-Benz GLC will be greeted by seats swathed in man-made Artico leather.
The upholstery is comfortable to sit in and provides ample amount of traction to ensure that the driver and the passengers are as snug as a bug whether taking on short trips or long journeys. Perforations are also found on the seats to add a cooling effect for when one is using the Mercedes-Benz GLC in hot weather.
Additionally, Artico is an imitation leather so you also get that peace of mind that no aminals were slaughtered in the making of the material.
The Mercedes-Benz GLC is equipped with an all-digital instrument display.
Past the steering wheel, the instrument cluster can provide the driver with relevant information in crisp detail. The instrument panel is also large enough to fit various driving data on the screen, so drivers are not left fumbling about just to see the information they need.
Complementing the wide digital instrument cluster is a vertically-aligned infotainment system, which is possibly becoming the trend in modern crossovers, trucks, and SUV models.
Measuring 11.9 inches, the digital infotainment screen is outfitted with the Mercedes-Benz User Experience multimedia system and has touchscreen controls. It is capable of wireless connectivity via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
It’s also equipped with the brand’s “Hey Mercedes” voice assistant.
The new Mercedes-Benz GLC is also fitted with a Burmester 3D surround sound system, which is good enough to satisfy the needs of audiophiles who also happen to be gearheads.
About 15 speakers are tucked in the cabin that are been designed to facilitate an impeccable listening experience for the occupants of the Mercedes-Benz GLC.
Noise, vibration, and harshness are aspects that the Mercedes-Benz GLC is probably good at, so it will not be a surprise if the audio experience inside its cabin will be nothing short of spectacular.
The Mercedes-Benz is after all, still a compact crossover. That said, it boasts a boot area that can hold a decent amount of cargo for when its owners will be leaving town for a weekend trip.
Personalized luggage and limited-edition bags will surely feel at home at the rear end of the luxury crossover SUV. Plus, stowing them will be easy thanks to the vehicle’s power tailgate.
The cabin of the Mercedes-Benz GLC offers a few other notable features like a wireless charging pad, ambient lighting, automatic climate control, and velour floor mats.
The Mercedes-Benz GLC is offered in a single variant and is priced at P5.19 million.
