Mercedes-Benz PH to launch EQE SUV next month
Mercedes-Benz Philippines shall bring in the sport utility vehicle version (SUV) of the EQE next month.
According to the Inchcape Philippines-led vehicle distributor, the forthcoming Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV is set to be unveiled next month.
While waiting for the Three-Pointed Star marque’s local wing to share the electrified crossover's full details, here are some bits of information that the company posted on its website.
It can be recalled that the badge’s sedan version was released locally in September last year.
Initial information
The soon-to-be-launched crossover will sport the same black panel radiator grille as seen in the Mercedes-Benz EQ lineup. Above it is a light strip that connects the modern-looking headlamps.
Meanwhile, the SUV’s three-dimensional (3D) helix-shaped rear lamps are also linked by a light band for that distinctive EQ look.
The five-seater vehicle comes with short overhangs and a long wheelbase to showcase its “SUV-ness.”
Inside the much-awaited Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV is the MBUX Hyperscreen, which is made up of three displays merged under sole glass cover that covers the entire width of the dashboard. Its infotainment system is paired with a Burmester 3D surround sound system.
The company noted that the vehicle’s myriad of safety technologies and driver assistive features include the head-up display, Driver Assistance Package Plus, Guard 360-degree vehicle protection, Active Lane Keep Assist, among others.
To be offered in 350+ AMG Line, the upcoming Mercedes Benz EQE SUV will be offered in the following color options:
- Polar White
- High Tech Silver Metallic
- Black
- Obsidian Black Metallic
- Selenite Grey
- Sodalite Blue Metallic
- Alpine Grey Solid
- Diamond White Bright
- Emerald Green
In markets abroad, the Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV is powered by a 215-kilowatt permanently synchronous electric motor that can send up to 288 horsepower and 565 Newton-meters to the rear wheels. It also comes with paddle shifters that adjust the intensity of energy recovered by deceleration and braking during normal driving.
The electric engine features a 96-kilowatt-hour battery that gives the Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV a range of around 494 kilometers.
It measures 4,864 millimeters (mm) long; 2,141 mm wide; and 1,671 mm tall with a 3,030 wheelbase. It has a drag coefficient of 0.26.
