Auto Nation Group (ANG) announced the arrival of the new Mercedes Benz E-Class’ latest trim — expanding the nameplates variants to two.
In a statement, the Three-Pointed Star marque’s official importer and distributor in the Philippines said that the Mercedes-Benz E-Class now comes in Avantgarde design line.
“Launched last February 2022, the new E-Class makes a clear statement for greater dynamism from its elongated bonnet power domes, redesigned headlamps and modern rim designs that makes the new E-Class sedan a progressive appearance. With the Avantgarde line, this variant is designed for those who want an understated design that still has the dynamism and elegance that makes the new E-Class still a desirable vehicle,” Mercedes-Benz Philippines explained.
The company also said that the premium sedan’s base variation features a redesigned grille with two chrome louvers as well as vertical high-gloss black struts. Aside from that, the newly-introduced option’s front bumper is fitted with chrome and high-gloss black trim elements.
Complimenting the overall exterior looks of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class are the LED headlamps and the 19-inch 10-spoke light alloy wheels.
On the inside, the executive saloon’s latest variant will greet occupants with its full Artico leather and the dual 12.3-inch displays that are equipped with the latest NTG 6 MBUX multimedia system.
Moreover, the new Mercedes-Benz E 200 Avantgarde is also heavy on driver assistive technologies such as the Pre-Safe system, attention assist, active brake assist, urban guard vehicle protection, and active parking assist.
Powering the new Mercedes-Benz E 200 Avantgarde is the 1.991cc, four in-line engine mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission that can dish out up to 197 horsepower and 320Nm of torque. The aforementioned mill allows the vehicle to cover 0-100 kilometers per hour (kph) in 7.4 seconds and reach top speeds of 240kph.
The new Mercedes-Benz E 200 Avantgarde is priced at P5.29 million — P100,000 more affordable than its AMG Line counterpart.
