Mercedes-Benz PH enters EV arena with EQ line introduction
Mercedes-Benz has unveiled its EQ line in the Philippines to mark its entry in the local electric vehicle (EV) arena.

Mercedes-Benz EQA
Serving as the newly revealed line’s base model is the Mercedes-Benz EQA — which is based on the GLA small sport utility vehicle.
Seen within the Mercedes-Benz EQA’s exterior are the black panel radiator grille with central star, new 19-inch five-spoke light-alloy wheels Electric Art Design, LED headlamps with EQ-specific energy blue element with high beam assist.
Buyers of the vehicle are bound to appreciate the keyless go system, hands-free access to the rear cargo area, which has 340 liters of boot space.
Its cabin is adorned with ambient lighting in spiral-look trim elements that can be configured in 64 colors, an all-digital cockpit with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, and a wireless charging dock.
The Mercedes-Benz EQA also has the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) infotainment system, and Artico leather seats.
Its host of safety technologies consists of active lane keeping assist, active brake assist, active blind spot assist, and a reversing camera.
The introductory price of the Mercedes-Benz EQA 250 is at P3.99 million.
Mercedes-Benz EQB
Meanwhile, the Mercedes-Benz EQB also wears the same black panel grille with central star and boasts a full-width LED light strip at the front and rear. The full LED headlamps have blue color highlights and the red rear lighting spans the wide power liftgate.
Closely related to the GLB, the vehicle is considered the Mercedes-Benz EQ’s bigger brethren as it is also fitted with the same black panel grille with central star while boasting a full-width LED light strip at the front and rear.
Further, the Mercedes-Benz EQB sits on 19-inch five-spoke light-alloy wheels with Electric Art Design.
Additionally, the Mercedes-Benz EQB’s cabin is embellished with big digital displays, 64-color ambient lighting, rose gold-colored elements and tubular trimmings.
It also has the MBUX program to complement the reconfigurable digital instruments including EQ-specific displays and designs.
Similar to the EQA, the Mercedes-Benz EQB’s driving assistance systems as well as active lane keep assist, active steering assist, and active brake assist.
The Mercedes Benz EQB 250 Electric Art’s introductory pricing is P4.19 million.
Mercedes-Benz EQE 300 Electric Art, 350+ AMG Line
Considered as the E-Class’ EV counterpart, the Mercedes-Benz EQE is offered in two variants: the300 Electric Art and EQE 350+ AMG Line.
Moreover, the electrified executive midsize sedans’ exterior features a tapering roofline and 20-inch wheels. The EQE 300 is slapped with five-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels in Electric Art design, while the EQE 350+, AMG five-twin-spoke light-alloys.
Just like the other two vehicles, the cars have a black panel radiator grille with the star sitting in the middle. To its side are black-grained finished skirts with silver chrome door trim strips.
Its cabin comes with an OLED central display 12.8-inch screen and 12.3-inch driver display, Burmester 3D surround sound system with 15 speakers, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity as well as wireless smartphone charging.
Other technologies for the EQE models are the Mercedes-Benz Driving Assistance Package, active steering assist, active blind spot assist, active lane keep assist, attention assist to match the Presafe system.
