Mercedes-Benz Philippines has expanded its electric vehicle (EV) offering by launching the EQE sport utility vehicle (SUV).
The emission-free luxury five-seater is powered by the brand’s compact electric powertrain (eATS) that puts out as much as 292 horses with 565 Newton-meters of torque.
It can zoom from a standstill to 100 kilometers per hour (kph) in 6.9 seconds with a top speed of 210 kph.
Mercedes-Benz slapped a 96 kilowatt-hour battery onto the EQE SUV, which will give its would-be owners some 537-628 kilometers of all-electric range.
The battery can be charged using a Type 2/Combined Charging System standard charger.
Outside, the Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV is fitted with AMG-specific appointments like the front bumper and rear apron.
It also boasts seamless door handles with chrome inserts and a set of 21-inch AMG multi-spoke light alloy wheels.
Rounding up its luxurious exterior features are aluminum-look illuminated running boards with rubber studs, a panoramic sliding roof, as well as power-folding side mirrors with Mercedes-Benz brand logo projection.
Greeting the driver is a multi-functional sports steering wheel wrapped in Nappa leather with galvanized paddle shifters, a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a 17.7-inch infotainment system, and a 12.3-inch front passenger screen.
The abovementioned display screens are powered by the Mercedes-Benz User Experience system, which offers occupants of the EQE SUV the feeling of being in an imposing high-tech command center.
Of course, there’s still AMG-specific appointments in the cabin in the form of AMG floormats.
The Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV is available in a single variant — EQE 350+ SUV AMG Line — and is priced at P7.19 million.
