Mercedes-Benz Philippines is set to unbox the latest version of the GLC sport utility vehicle (SUV) late next month, following its global debut last year.
Per the invite sent by the Three-Pointed Star marque’s arm in the country, the crossover’s official introduction will be on June 21.
While no details were released as of posting, Carmudi Philippines is banking on the possibility that the forthcoming all-new Mercedes-Benz GLC would be powered by a 2.0-liter inline-four turbo gasoline engine with 48-volt mild hybrid system mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission since the outgoing version was also the gasoline-propelled kind.
To note, the mill expected to be seen in the all-new Mercedes-Benz GLC can deliver as much as 255 horsepower and 400 Newton-meters of torque.
However, the Philippine-bound all-new Mercedes-Benz GLC might have the diesel powertrain option.
Aside from that, the vehicle will likely feature the new headlamp design, which is connected directly to the radiator grille that houses the integrated Mercedes star, a dark grey vent with chrome overlay and chrome frame.
It would be a welcome development should Mercedes-Benz Philippines fit the incoming GLC with amenities such as the 11.9-inch central touchscreen is portrait-style (tipped toward the driver) and the 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, and the fingerprint scanner that recalls driver preferences.
Carmudi Philippines will share more information about the all-new Mercedes Benz GLC in the coming weeks.
