Mercedes-Benz PH to launch EQV next year?

The Mercedes-Benz EQV has a very good chance of arriving in the Philippines next year.

Based on the information shared by a reliable source to Carmudi Philippines, the Mercedes-Benz V-Class’ electrified version is expected to be introduced in the country within the first half 2024.

The possible development will expand the electric vehicle (EV) lineup of the Three-Pointed Star marque’s local arm (IC Star Automotive Incorporated) to five following the launch of the four cars under the EQ nameplate namely the Mercedes-Benz EQA 250 Electric Art, EQB 250 Electric Art, EQE 300 Electric Art, and EQE 350+ AMG Line.

Considered as the Mercedes-Benz’s first fully-electric multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), the EQV made its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show in 2019.

The Mercedes-Benz V-Class-inspired EV can reach speeds of up to 160 kilometers per hour, thanks to its electric motor that can give a maximum output of 201 horsepower and 362 Newton-meters of torque. It has the capability to cover distances of more than 400 kilometers with its 90-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery.

Recently received updates in terms of aesthetics, the exterior of the Mercedes-Benz EQV is fitted with gloss black grille that has a large logo sitting in the middle of and the model-exclusive 18-inch wheels.

The cabin of the Mercedes-Benz EQV could possibly be having leather upholstery tailored to the seats that will likely have a six- to eight-seating capacity; Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) technology that will complement connectivity and convenience features like Bluetooth, AUX, USB, Apple CarPlay, and voice control.
