Mercedes-Benz to unveil EQS SUV on Apr. 17

Mercedes-Benz is set to drop the drapes off the Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 sport utility vehicle (SUV) on April 17, the German luxury carmaker announced.

The luxed-up SUV will be making its debut at Auto Shanghai in China in front of a live audience. Meanwhile, Mercedes-Benz will also be broadcasting the unveiling on its online platform simultaneously.

The first all-electric series model of the tradition-steeped luxury brand is poised to set new standards in electromobility and deliver an absolutely top-class electric driving experience.

Mercedes-Benz announced the EQS SUV in 2021 back when it was still a concept car and shared renderings of the automobile. Back then, Mercedes-Benz said that it will boast unique exterior appointments like LED lights with individual diamond blocks framed with a fine-knit mesh of the Maybach emblem and chrome-plated vertical Maybach pinstripes with a three-dimensional effect and innovative Black Panel technology.

Also in 2021, Mercedes-Benz stated that the EQS SUV will flaunt a lounge-like cabin with floating armrests, elegant sideboards, and rose gold accents all around. Of course, the carmaker also said that the luxury SUV will get the MBUX Hyperscreen.

Those following the brand will find out if any of the supposed features of the previously revealed concept car will be used in the production model.
