Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the latest iteration of its United States (US)-market GLB subcompact sport utility vehicle (SUV), which offers updated exterior and interior appointments, as well as a new electrified powertrain.

    Mercedes-Benz also gave the SUV two new wheel designs in 18 and 20-inch sizes as well as a new Starling Blue Metallic paint.

    Inside, the new Mercedes-Benz GLB gets two 10.25-inch displays: one serves as the SUV’s instrument cluster and the other, as its infotainment system.

    The new display screens are compatible with the latest generation Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) multimedia system and can be personalized using different display styles: Classic, Sporty, and Discreet.

    For further connectivity, the new Mercedes-Benz GLB features wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

    Additionally, the SUV features the Mercedes-Benz intelligent voice assistant, which is now becoming even more capable of dialogue and learning thanks to online services in the Mercedes me application.

    The optional Burmester surround sound system — in conjunction with the latest generation MBUX — now features the Dolby Atmos immersive audio experience for enhanced in-car audio.

    Finally, the new Mercedes-Benz GLB is fitted with a new mild hybrid setup that includes an additional 48-volt electrical system. Its 2.0-liter engine makes 221 horsepower (hp) while the belt-driven starter-generator provides an additional boost of 13hp. Its overall torque is rated at 349 Newton meters.

    The new Mercedes-Benz GLB SUV will arrive in US dealerships in late 2023.
