Mercedes-Benz US to offer new C-Class range in 3 trim levels

German luxury automotive marque Mercedes-Benz announced that it will offer the upcoming C-Class sedan in three “highly-equipped, strategically curated trim levels.”

According to the carmaker, the new C-Class will be offered in Premium, Exclusive, and Pinnacle trim levels in the US market.

The new luxury saloon — through the aforementioned trim levels — will showcase progressive interior and sporty exterior design, electrified engine, innovative comfort features, and groundbreaking technology says Mercedes-Benz.

In terms of size, the all-new C-Class is longer and wider than its predecessor and will feature a cab-backward exterior design. In addition, the C-Class will also come with a new A-shaped grille with an open star pattern and power domes on the bonnet.

Powering the new C-Class model will be a turbocharged four-cylinder engine with an integrated starter generator and 48-volt mild-hybrid technology. It gives the executive sedan a maximum power output of 255hp and 399Nm of torque.

According to Mercedes-Benz, the 48V mild-hybrid system can provide an additional boost of 20hp and 200Nm of torque.

A suite of both active and passive driver-assist features will also be included in the new prestige car such as Active Distance Assist Distronic, Active Steering Assist, and Active Lane Change Assist. A new Stop-and-Go Assist feature also gives the C-Class semi-autonomous support in traffic jams at speeds up to 59kph.

Ultimate personalization of the C-Class sedan is realized in the AMG Line with Night Package. The optional upgrade includes AMG body styling, black accents, AMG wheels, as well as an A-wing on the front fascia. Inside, the AMG package gives the Mercedes luxury sedan a flat-bottom AMG Steering Wheel, AMG floor mats, and MB-Tex Dashboard.

The next-gen C-Class, along with the three new trims, will be made available in US dealerships in the first half of 2022.
