MG GT: What’s inside its cabin?

The MG GT is one stylish sedan. Its fastback body style coupled with a touch of modern minimalist vibes makes for a great design that will turn heads wherever it goes.

But is the MG GT’s interior as good as its exterior?

That said, we take a look at what can be found in its cabin to find out whether this sporty sedan is as good on the inside as it is on the outside.

A fighter jet-inspired cockpit

One of the most striking features of the MG GT’s interior is how aggressive its cabin is. In fact, MG touts the GT’s interior as one inspired by a fighter jet. Well, you won’t find a yoke here nor will you see altitude gauges or a seat ejector button, but the abundance of sharp angles and straight lines can inspire spirited driving.

The sport-looking seats, with decent bolstering, also help promote an aggressive sitting position.

Zero gravity seats

While there is another brand that comes to mind when we hear the term zero- gravity seats, MG — with the GT — is out to prove that it also has what it takes to provide drivers with comfortable seats for both short and long drives.

Bolstering, as we briefly covered above, is pretty decent. This means drivers won’t easily get back pains should they decide to take on a five to six-hour drive from Laguna to Zambales.

Modern infotainment screen

We’re actually happy with the infotainment screen offered by the MG GT. It packs a 10-inch floating, high-definition, touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto.

Complementing the decent-sized infotainment unit is a larger digital instrument cluster that measures 12.3 inches. Together, the two screens give the MG GT a really modern feel compared to other sporty sedans on the market.

A premium sound system

Satisfying the needs of audiophiles is a set of six speakers that produce balanced and powerful sound.

Combining this with the MG GT’s aggressive cockpit, then you have the perfect recipe for an epic road trip

In tune with the elements

Another notable feature offered by the MG GT is its sunroof, which gives drivers and passengers access to fresh air.

Whether day or night, this feature will make owners feel close to nature — granted that the weather outside is admirable.
