MG G50 Plus specs
Rising to the Philippine market again — this time under MG — the G50 Plus was previously offered in the country under Maxus.
The multi-purpose vehicle measures 4,825 millimeters (mm) long; 1,825 mm wide; and 1,778 mm tall with a 2,800-mm wheelbase.
Its front fascia comes with an embellished chromed grille with horizontal vents, which carries the brand logo. Its upper portion is flanked with headlamps (either on halogen or LED, depending on the chosen trim).
At the side, the vehicle features chromed side window frame, roof rail, and power folding-and-adjusting side mirrors with turn signal lamps for the mid- and upper-tier options. Also, the vehicle sits on 16- or 17-inch wheels wrapped in 205/60 or 215/55 tires.
Inside, the MG G50 Plus welcomes occupants with seats covered with fabric or leatherette material that can be adjusted up to six ways (manually or electronically). In front of the flat-bottom steering wheel is the digital instrument cluster and at the center console is either the traditional lever or electronic parking brake system with auto hold function.
The mid- and top-top grades also come with a 12.3-inch touchscreen at the center of the dashboard that can be connected to a mobile phone via Bluetooth, Apple Carplay, or Android Auto. The system is mated to a four- or six-speaker set-up.
Powering the MG G50 Plus is a 1.5-turbocharged gasoline engine. The mill sends nearly 179 horsepower (hp) and 285 Newton-meters of torque to the front wheels through either a six-speed gearbox or seven-speed dual clutch wet-type transmission.
Stopping brakes are guaranteed by the front and rear disc brakes.
Its host of amenities include keyless entry, push-button start-stop system, and cruise control function.
Meanwhile, the MG G50 Plus has a slew of safety technologies such as the anti-lock braking system, vehicle stability control, and hill start assist as well as reverse camera, back sensor, and tire pressure monitoring system.
Available in Moon White, Meteorite Black, Blade Silver, Andes Gray, and Water Blue, below are the MG50 Plus’ three variants and their respective prices:
